Michael Walker FCIB FRSA, Chairman

 

Michael enjoyed the majority of his career working for the international division of Prudential Financial Inc., the leading US financial services group. As CEO of the Group's London-based banks, he assisted in the expansion of the Group's European division, with a particular focus on asset management, medium-term private equity, private banking and international securities distribution.

 

Michael was also the CEO of Clive Securities Group, a subsidiary of Investec PLC, and now runs his own financial services consultancy. He has a wealth of experience from the securities and money markets, has served on numerous City committees and working parties and currently acts as a Specialist Adviser to the UK Financial Services Authority.

Tony Gimple, Chief Executive

 

Before founding Crisis Survivor, Tony had a number of senior roles at American Express, Chancery Law Group and the Towergate Partnership. He pioneered placing mortgage brokers in estate agents, helped to set up the UK's first mainstream fee based financial planning business, co-founded the UK's first deregulated law firm and developed usable Business Continuity Planning for SMEs.

 

He is the subject of a Cranfield University School of Business MBA thesis and report on Entrepreneurship, and has written articles and features for “The Times”, “The Sunday Telegraph”, “PostMag”, “Financial Adviser”, “Money Marketing” and “High Net Worth” Magazine.  Tony is also an accredited Lexcel Consultant.

Bill May, Director

 

Bill has worked for many of the big names in the insurance industry including Aon and Marsh, where he was Vice President Technical Strategy and Innovation, and has been leading BIBA's work groups on terrorism and climate risk.  He enjoys regular contact with his opposite numbers at both the ABI and Lloyds, as well as with a number of government departments and the OECD.

 

As head of risk management Bill ensures that the company's BCP and Risk Management methodologies are optimally aligned with insurance industry requirements, professional practice and BS25999.

 

Richard Vardy

Richard Vardy FCIS ACIB MCSI FRSA, Director and Company Secretary

 

Richard has worked for two listed Banks (Union PLC and Investec PLC) and is a qualified Chartered Secretary and Banker. He is the  Deputy Chairman of the London Money Market Association  representing 28 of the leading financial Institutions in the sterling money markets.

 

Richard has had responsibility for a wide range of corporate activities including Property management and administration, HR Management, the placement of group Insurance and authority for the implementation and management of Business Recovery Planning.

 

He has particular interest in good Corporate Governance and is a lecturer and Visiting Professor at London Metropolitan University as well as being on the Board of two other Business Schools.

Paul Lucraft, Director

 

With over 25 years experience in the financial services industry, Paul Lucraft now works as an independent advisor in the payments cards industry. He offers business and strategic advice and has worked on a number of projects for both bank and non bank card operators, and is an expert on fraud and risk management.

 

Paul worked for 9 years at MasterCard where his career spanned fraud and risk, operations, e-commerce and chip, scheme governance, market development, industry affairs, member relationship management as well as public relations and general scheme management. By the time Paul left the organisation in 2006, he had risen to General Manager UK and Ireland.
